Kate Newby

Kate Newby

Kate Newby has been teaching Pilates for nearly two decades, bringing vast and varied experience in bodywork. A fully comprehensive teacher, she is qualified across all Pilates equipment and trained in Intrinsic Biomechanics and Sports Massage. As well as specialisations in multiple Pilates disciplines.

Her teaching style blends Classical and Contemporary Pilates, combining precision with adaptability and physiotherapy principles. She emphasizes corrective movement, strength, alignment, functional movement, breathwork and rhythm. This ensures well-rounded and effective practices. Kate also incorporates elements of dynamic Pilates. Which makes some of the sessions faster-flowing and more challenging to help build strength and endurance.

With a modern, inclusive and adaptable approach, Kate makes Pilates accessible for rehabilitation, fitness and overall well-being purposes. She offers classes and private (1:1/1:2) sessions incorporating all of the Pilates equipment.
Sophie Duncan

Sophie Duncan

Sophie is a valued member of the team and is a dedicated and passionate teacher. She began her fitness journey 15 years ago, initially teaching group exercise classes before qualifying in mat Pilates. Her love for rehabilitation led her to become a Level 4 Sports Massage Therapist. After undergoing her own hip surgery and rehab, she discovered reformer Pilates and instantly fell in love. Trained in reformer with JPilates, she embraces a dynamic and flowing style of Pilates.

Sophie will soon be expanding her expertise by adding more equipment qualifications. Her team spirit and commitment make Sophie a fantastic asset to the studio and we’re so grateful to have her.
Lila

Lila

Lila brings a playful spirit to her classes, encouraging students to find freedom and enjoyment throughout the practice, even amidst the more challenging moments.

Her classes focus on core stability and mobility, which balance strength and flexibility. By encouraging the use of breath to feel the sensation in your body, Lila aims to guide her students to deepen the embodied experience of the practice.

As a dedicated instructor of Reformer, Pilates & Yoga for over a decade, Lila draws from several methods to inform her teaching style. She has completed over 800 hours of training and is also a qualified Bodyworker.
